Cruising with Comets

Dittisham from the Shinners Meadow
Dittisham cruise change, now sailing from Royal Dart Yacht club, After recent trip to Dittisham thought the hill approach to steep for most vehicles especially with a Trio hitched on, but as the area is so beautiful have negotiated to sail from Royal Dart YC with use of RDYC facilities, hopefully a meal at the club on Saturday night.
Itinery as originally set out, ie, upriver Sat afternoon Return in the evening, and out with tide on Sunday morning, return on the flood Pm.

In September from the 3-6 Thurs to Sun, I hope you will join me at Salcombe, sailing from Batson Quay, with possible sails to Kingbridge, out of the creek for fishing or lunch on one of the many golden beaches making up the Salcombe inlet.

Salcombe from Portlemouth beach.
Low water on Thurs is at 11;09 perfect for the cruise up to Kingsbury on the incoming tide with HT 17;27 for the sail back and a relaxed evening meal. As the tide times move on, sailing out on out-going tide to the Bar and North beach for fishing and lunch.
For the walkers, cliff walks on the coastal path to Hope Cove or on the Portlemouth side are outstandingly beautiful, Salcombe town is quaint and classy, good restaurants plenty of camping and accommodation nearby.
