Comet Trio Inland Championships 2022
NOTICE OF RACE
- The Comet Trio Open Meetingwill be held at Llangorse Lake, Brecon onSaturday-Sunday 30 April – 1 May 2022. The organising authority is Llangorse Sailing Club.
- Racing will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of
Sailing 2020-2024 - Competitors will be honorary members of Llangorse Sailing Club for the duration of the event and by entering, agree to be governed by the Club Rules.
- The Meeting is for Comet Trio sailingdinghies .(Note Paragraph 2)
- Racing is scheduled as follows:
Number of Races to count 4 out of 5
If 4, or fewer races are sailed, there will be no discard.
Briefing 1200 noon Saturday 30 April 2022
Start times Saturday
Race 1 1300hrs
Race 2 & 3 Will run back-to-back
Start time Sunday Race 4 1030hrs
Race 5 Back- to-back after Race 4 - NB: The addition of any other races will not be part of the championship and may be offered at the discretion of the Race Management Team if time and resources permit.
- Competitors will enter by completing an official entry form and paying the fee of £XX per boat and agreeing to the following:
- ‘I agree to be bound by The Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules that govern this event’
- That the race organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, howsoever caused to the owner/competitor or crew because of their taking part in the race or races. Moreover, every owner/competitor warrants the suitability of his boat for the race or races.
That the safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/competitor racing the boat.
Registration will commence at 1030 hrs on Saturday 30 April 2022 The Warning signal for the first race will be made not before 1255 hrs
- Sailing Instructions will be available at the time of registration.
- Prizes will be given for the first three places in each fleet.

Note: The Parental consent form overleaf shall also be completed for any entry by a competitor under the age of sixteen years to be valid.
Parental/Guardians’ consent form:
Competitors are expected to be capable of self-rescue. The organisers are only able to provide normal safety facilities during racing and, in the event of adverse conditions, parents and guardians must decide whether their child is sufficiently competent and must ensure their craft is seaworthy and has adequate safety equipment.
