The sun shone, the wind blew and 7 great races were sailed by the 19 strong Trio fleet at this years Nationals. 5 visiting boats joined the 14 Exe based boats to have a great weekend of sailing and socials. Race Officer Les Arscott set challenging courses which enabled new champions Chris and Ben Biglin to show off their upwind speed. Over 20% of helms were women and there was a significant age range amongst the male helms this, together with the wide variation in crew weights shows the versatility of the Trio as a family dinghy that is suitable for racing and cruising.
